    Looks like you can get 1TB external HDDs for under £30 for example.

    Backups are essential...

    Or you can just hope for good luck, of course.. for free! Good luck!

    Your old EFI Partition on disk 1 (1|1) could/should get Non-Efi Attributes.

    Run
    diskpart
    sel disk 1
    sel par 1
    set id=ebd0a0a2-b9e5-4433-87c0-68b6b72699c7
    gpt attributes=0X8000000000000000
    exit


    Thousands of professional Enterprise PCs run with just one 128 GB System-Disk without any problem.
