HDD sometimes not visible in Explorer or Partition tool

i run win10 and have 4hd in my box - infrequently one of them will not show up in explorer or as a partition - a reboot usually resolves the issue ; can someone help me? maybe i over-tax the system? a checklist mayby?
    regards

First move is to run a full diskcheck on the faulty drive second check the connection on it in case they have become loose

If it doesn't show in disk manager it's a sign that the drive maybe is dying. Backup ASAP.
Download extract and run CrystalDiskInfo. It's a portable. Doesn't need to install.

What exactly do you mean by " 4hd in my box " ? Are those placed in a dock/ hub? Please give full details of the HDDs and how those are connected to the PC. Recently we had a user with similiar complaints. It turned out that he had plugged in many high Capacity HDDs into a multiport hub. Even though it was a powered hub, the power wasn't sufficient to drive all the HDDs simultaneously resulting in erratic behaviour.

thanks for all the advice guys! pardon the slow reaction, trying to manage a bout of shingles - hope it does not cripple my mind as it did to karl marx
i sorted the hard drives problem by :
    1. checking all connections, sata and power
    2. re-seating ram modules
    3. checking all connections on mb
    4. running the following from cmd with admin rights
    5. chkdsk /r on all disks
    6. sfc /scannow
    7. dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    8. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    9. checking for root malware with tdskiller & malwarebytes
    10. running crystlaldiskinfo
    11. resetting all priviledges with tweaking.com
    12. obviously making backup before all above and
    13. set create restore point to run daily

[not all in above order and with plenty of stuff in safe mode]
although i only have a 450W ps i dont run intense graphics but might upgrade to 600W
    regards

shingles: Shingles (Herpes Zoster): Symptoms, Causes, and Treatment

It is the dormant chickenpox virus, hiding in the spinal cord and getting reactivated decades later causing the rash. Hope you consulted a Medical Specialist and taking treatment. Timely treatment allays its aftereffects which may irritably last long.( yes, I had it decades ago and rushed to a skin specialist who said good that you came in here within 24 hours. If left untreated it can have longlasting aftereffect and prescribed some special medicines to keep it in check which he said should be taken within twentyfour hours.. Since then medicines have come a longway and there may be medicines effective even after a delayed treatment. Do consult a medical specialist - if you haven't already - without any further delay and get treated.

indeed, thank you @jumanji - there are expensive immunizations for grown-ups, but no 100% stuff - the best remedy i found is cold wet presses and a pc fan to blow air on the skin - by far the most comfortable way to handle it is driving around with the motorcar's aircon max cold setting full blast on the affected area - in my case my head - i pity anyone who gets it on his buttocks
