General Realtek woes -- signing and windows hardware compatability

    Hello all,

As of late I've been working on enabling Realtek to comply with my desire for hearing some high-fi audio. On my home, custom-built system I'm running an ASROCK Velocita 470 with an onboard Realtek device (v. 9030). I've been running into a few issues that have been continually creeping up and have been preventing my desire from being fulfilled.

Now, I don't know my way around all of the technical bits of installing certificates, devices, drivers, etc. which is why I'm coming here for the help of you guys.

My own expertise is consuming media at extremely high rates without any regard for ensuring that the quality (of audio) is of tip-top quality.

Now, I've been discovering that devices are typically signed by the manufacturer of the device. However, why is "Windows Hardware Compatability Publisher" signing all of these Realtek drivers? Even when I manually install the certificate, the digital signer is "Windows Hardware Compatability Publisher", and not "Realtek (R)"
Secondly, why is the System Device (that uses the 8086) not pointing to the Realtek device on the bus?

I have loads of questions that I hope to get into if some of you would be willing to help me get this thing up and running properly.

    Thanks

Not sure what your woes are.

That is all standard driver stuff for Realtek audio.

You get drivers from ASRock and Windows updates.
The manufactururer normally supplies some sort of overlay audio to provide more features.

Mine have exactly the same driver files, version is 6.0.9597.1 31/10/2023
That was updated by Windows updates, latest 24/02/2024.

I recently checked the Asrock web site and "ASROCK Velocita 470" does not exist there, as in not listed.

these are the "Velocita" model motherboards listed on the Asrock web site
