    SSd partitioning after cloning

Hi! I have cloned my old 0.5 TB SSD onto a new 1 TB SSD and installed it . PC boots nicely. Problem. The old 0.5 TB SSD was partitionied and in a C and a J volume. Volume J does not appear in the volume managementand also not in the Win Explorer; see attached screenshot. How can I find my old volume J? Thanks in advance.

Was 'J:' selected when you did the |"clone"?

If you didn't transfer it then you can shrink C: and copy the partition from your old disk.

I assume you still have that...

Yes, I cloned C and J so J should be somewhere on the new SSD, have you had a look on my attached screenshot?

And thank you for your reply/.

You can't see it and I can't see it. So that suggests your clone wasn't a clone as in an exact copy.
Can you see any space on the 1TB disk where it might be?

And note: 'exact copy' doesn't apply anyway as clearly your new C: is much larger than the original.

Again: do you still have a J partition on your old disk? How big is it?

Your Recovery Partition is still on (1) and 546 MB!
Cloning is not an option for you!
    (J:) is not there!
Run a backup and use the Recovery option for (C:)
You have to do the partitioning before you clone!

How big was the J: partition?
To find all the partitions on the drive, open a CMD window as administrator and type:

    diskpart
    select disk 0
list part (It will list all partitions)
    exit (to exit diskpart)

Your drive layout if very old. MS has moved the Recovery partition to the right of the C: partition

This is the normal size of the partitions:
    EFI - Fat32 - 100M
    MSR - RAW - 16M
C: - NTFS - All remaining drive space
Recovery - NTFS - 1G (if it isn't at least 850M you should make it bigger or some updates won't install)

What is the cloning program you have?

I have cloned my old 0.5 TB SSD onto a new 1 TB SSD and installed it .
Diskmgmt screenshot only shows the (presumably cloned) new 1tb and some other 4tb. The original 500gb disk is not in the screenshot.

Hi guys, thank you all for your replies. I must have forgotten to clone J: But I had a copy of it on an external drive. So I just copied that after I made new partitions on the new SSD.
