Print HP T120 - Job Deletes Immediately

    Have tried:
    • Deleted & reinstalled so many times I have lost count
    • Tried all drivers on HP website
    • Restarted print spooler service
    • Updated Windows 10
    • Reinstalled drivers in Device Manager
    • Sfc scannow & repaired corrupted files
    • Printer does not appear in network; though it is connected. Aware recent Windows Update is hiding some printers. Collegaue in office had no trouble whatsoever in finding it. Able to install when connecting it's IP address.
    • Installed most recent Windows Update (KB5035941) where you have to resize the recover partition in Cmd Line. Despite following correctly it did not work
    • Printing on other printers with no issues

Cannot get it to print. Colleague printed in office immediately.

Win 10 Pro Ver 22H2 OS Build 19045.3693

KB5035941 does not affect your Recovery partition.
It is an optional Preview Cumulative update.

Your build # indicates that your Windows is not up to date.
    Build 19045.3693 is from February.
    So KB5035941 did not install.

Thanks, sorry should have put that in there - tried that; useless.

Your build number shows that KB5035941 did not install & the latest CU you installed was issued in February.
KB5035941 has nothing to do with your Recovery partition.
    KB5035941 is optional.

    Hi Dalski,

Are you aware there is a firmware update available? https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06207539

I have an HP printer also and one thing that helped me was using HP Smart. I cannot find a download, but perhaps it's in the software package that came with the printer. HP Smart

    I hope the above helps.

    Kind regards,

HP Smart may already be installed, been lots of complaints that it was getting installed automatically with some other update even though other brands were installed. I liked it as I have 2 HP Printers.

Thanks, I should've put this in my OP, yes updated firmware prior to posting also.

Should not need HP Smart to print. Should be fine from drivers. I'm away from the office now but hoping someone comes up with a traditional solve. Should be able to print with a plain Windows driver, or a printer specific driver.

Win10 and Win11 have been pretty good in picking up my Networked HP printers [attached by cable to Router] and installing the basic drivers then get a prompt that there is an app available for download. But so has Linux even when booted to a LiveUSB drive.

I'd agree, never had this problem before. Set this exact printer up many times but this is quite an issue I'm having atm.
