How to merge 2 unallocated spaces into one ?

    My PC's hardware:
Acer desktop machine, Aspire T3 715
    CPU Intel Core i5-6400
    DDR4-SDRAM 16GB 2133MHzDDR4-SDRAM
    GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950
    SSD 128GB C: drive, running Windows 10 Home 64bit, 22H2
    HDD D: drive, 3.5" SATA3 HDD 7200rpm 1.0TB,

There are 2 unallocated free spaces (partitions) on HDD D: , and there is an EFI partition between them.

How to merge these 2 unallocated free spaces and make it a unable partition, please?

    Thanks.

    Hi Diano,

I recently had a similar situation. I used Niubi to move the unallocated spaces side by side and then combined them into one partition. Here is a link to the Niubi download site: NIUBI Partition Editor Official | Disk Partition Manager Software. It's very intuitive.

    Kind regards,

Without a Diskmanagement screenshot you can't get correct advices.

Yeh, this would be much better for more accurate directions .... If the OP has to ask how/what to do, a screenshot would be best to verify the OP's interpretation of the drive structure,

Windows Disk Manager don't show some partitions and the information of some are incorrect.

If you have a MiniTool or AOMEI Partition use it instead or Windows disk manager.
Please post a whole window Disk Manager image of ALL your drives. Don't forget to expand the columns so we can read them. How to Post a Screenshot of Disk Management

    Thank you, Tecknot.
The problem is there is a system partition in between of the 2 unallocated spaces. I do not know how to merge them in case as this.
Appreciate your goodwill trying to help.

Shall post the screenshot if I cannot solve the problem with MiniTool Partition Wizard or AOMEI Partition Assistant.

I'll try MiniTool Partition Wizard or AOMEI Partition Assistant first and see how it goes.

    Hi Diano,

Niubi is free and can move partitions around, so it would solve your problem for the two separated partitions you want to merge.

The screenshot is needed to confirm what everybody knows. During the WIN-Setup on your SSD you didn't delete the HDD-EFI Partition. That was your mistake! The unallocated parts are probably appr. 500 MB in size.
If you run a system with an EFI-offset of 500 MB on a separate disk or not doesn't make a big difference!
Depending on the amount of files on the 1 TB HDD it can take hours. And you are the winner of the "Jackpot" if the FS=RAW after your operation.

Take the chance to increase your Recovery-Partition.

None of these posts mention the hidden MSR partition which usually cannot be moved even with partitioning tools. If this partition is between separate unallocated spaces, it is difficult to consolidate the unallocated spaces.

You can choose to delete it (pretty pointless partition anyway), or you can take a completely different approach using Macrium Reflect (trial version is fine).

    1) image backup drive

    2) Restore drive
    a) In gui, delete all partition drag partitions to new layout in this order:
    EFI, MSR, Recovery partition

    b) float recovery partition to far right to leave all unallocated space between msr and recovery partition

    c) drag C drive partition to unallocated space and select to expand it to fill space.

    d) Do restore. Partitions are now in correct order and unallocated space sorted.

You can use other imaging tools but none of them are as slick as MR due to its drag and drop layout capability.
