Is it still possible to repair the system drive letter now?

I want to change the system drive letter C: to A:

How to change SYSTEM drive letter to C from another letter
This topic #5 #6 talks about using syprep to modify.

I use "Sysprep /generalize /shutdown /oobe" to enter Sysprep. However, other than the same process as installing the system, there is no way to change the system drive letter.

I tried using SHIFT+F10 to execute cmd during Sysprep configuration. and use "bcdboot f:\windows /sf:" . However, the feedback received was rejected.

I cannot download the bcdbootdiskv14x64.zip attachment. Clicking it will jump to the login page. I don’t know if it is related to this tool.

How can I change the system drive letter C: to A:

I re-read #7 and maybe I need to use PE to change the drive letter?

After syprep , set the desired letter. You will have to do that from outside, either from another windows installation, or from winpe. Then boot into it and it will go through the setup routine.

I have made a thing to do it.

Thanks for your reply, I'll go ahead and give it a try using winpe.

I dont think you'll be allowed A or B as they were traditionally reserved for floppy disk drives.

But do consider the fact that Windows' behaviour towards drive letters A:\ & B:\ is not documented and might cause complications. For example, that A:\ drive letter you are setting now might suddenly change later on for all any of us know.
I think you would need to be prepared for any such eventuality.
