Back up and restore drivers in Windows 10

Hi Folks I have been gifted a FujiXerox C1110 colour laser printer and although it is old it comes with brand new genuine cartridges and is in excellent condition, I would like to make use of this printer.

The main problem as you are probably aware is the driver is obsolete and unavailable on the Xerox support site. I also have the desktop PC that was used with the printer and it is still printing (test sheets) but I have to return the desktop(windows10) PC.

Tried to use the Backup and Restore in Windows tutorial without success, I admit I am not the best at this. How can I copy the driver from this PC onto a USB stick and load it onto a different windows 10 PC?

I'm guessing, as you haven't given the link, that you mean this tutorial

Backup and Restore Device Drivers in Windows 10

There are of course numerous freeware tools that support driver backup and restoration.
    E.g.
    Download DriverBackup! - MajorGeeks
    DriverMax
(Has backup, restore options as well as the update feature)

    - plenty of ways if you search. Several such tools shown here:
How To Backup and Restore Your Drivers - MajorGeeks

Just pick one that looks easy and you feel comfortable with.
Note the checkboxes to select drivers you wish to back up or restore.

Personally, I make a new system image before installing a printer driver so I can get back to square one if it all goes haywire.

1 If you have no other Fuji or Xerox hardware, search in the folder containing your full driver backups for Fuji & for Xerox and, for every file in the search results, copy its entire folder onto another USB stick. The folders have baffling names such as hpbuio160f.inf_amd64_ecfacbbdc4fc7d91.
Copy them all inside a folder called something like JustDriversForThePoshLaserJet so that you can use that folder path in the restore command, see Option 4 of the tutorial, to restore just those drivers.

I have never been in this position and have never seen a situation like yours for a FujiXerox printer.
So I suggest you also keep the whole of your driver backup until you have run my suggestion on a new computer. My concern is that there might be a relevant driver file that does not explicitly mention Fuji or Xerox.

I hope you are going to keep the original computer until you have had a chance to test this suggestion.
Do post back after you have tried it.

2 I think my suggestion will be simpler than the utilities suggested by dalchina but, if my suggestion does not work, I think such utilities might well be the next most straightforward approach.

3 The nearest situation I have been in was after a clean install when I found that a tablet maker had not posted the correct touchscreen driver despite having installed the correct one in the tablet originally and I had to search around through my pre-clean-install driver backup & my pre-clean-install lists of driver properties to find the original driver to restore. I spent all day searching in order to identify that driver [I was successful]. If my above suggestion does not work for you then I can describe how I made those lists of driver properties so you can make them yourself and drive yourself insane searching through them.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

Xerox do offer a chat line.
    Support - DocuPrint C1110 - Xerox

Sorry. I now think it is useless.
