Hello Rich,
You have a B+M NVMe SSD instead. You can check the ones listed below to use.
Sorry! Something went wrong!
Amazon.com: Silicon Power 1TB A55 M.2 SSD SATA III Internal Solid State Drive 2280 SU001TBSS3A55M28AB : Electronics
They have 4-5 different sizes.
what is the motherboard?
some m.2 slots support either sata or nvme
The one in the pic in the first post is SATA
This is it: Sandisk SD9SN8W-128G-1006 - 128GB M.2 2280 SATA III NGFF Solid State SSD
The one I linked in post #5 is also a B+M key M.2 2280 SATA III SSD
I can see it is a sata.
some m.2 slots can support sata or nvme.
because there is a sata in there at the moment does not necessarily mean it can only be replaced with another sata.
We dont know because we havent been told what the motherboard is.
If you want a direct replacement 250 GB to 2 TB then:
Amazon.com
It appears to be Old Generation rather than NGFF.
Depends on the MOBO whether NGFF and NVMe is supported.
WD now own SanDisk.
I recently got a very good price on the Samsung EVO as shown in Post #2 in 1TB size and put it in a USB case from Sabrent, quite nice. The physical size is 2280, 22mm wide and 80mm long. The portability of the setup is much nicer than a 1TB WD My Passport, not as bulky in my pocket. The case can hold 4 different lengths.
