Presentation clicker - Kensington or another make?

We use a Kensington presentation clicker at our church. The metal connector on the wireless receiver is becoming a bit loose, so looking to replace before it fails. It is the type that has a ~2" long receiver that is stored in a socket in the end of the clicker.

It looks as if the latest model stores the receiver inside the battery case, much more fiddly to do every time then with the old style, and likely not to get done. Also the receiver looks to be much smaller (though the Amazon photos are inconsistent) and so more prone to being mislaid. And a number of reviews suggests it's less reliable and less compatible then previously.

So, much as we like the Kensington shape and feel, wondering whether to go for a different one.

    Any thoughts, experiences?

    TIA

The Logitech R400 presentation clicker shows many more purchases and positive reviews than Kensington presentation clickers (you don't mention the model) but apparently slightly less range.

    Is range a factor?

The NORWII N27 presentation clicker has a far greater range and is nearly half the price of the Kensingtons... but perhaps consider the rechargeable NORWII N76... same range, slightly more expensive but with the convenience of not needing batteries.

    Hope this helps...

Thanks for your thoughts. Will look at these.

The range needed is up to 15-20 metres, depending on circumstances.
