Puzzling printer Lag
Hi folks, I hope someone can shed some light on this.
My wife and I (on different machines) are experiencing the same issue with a WiFi printer. First, some background.
My machine is a desktop pc, connected to the router directly via an Ethernet cable. [22h2 19045 ver 4046]
(machine specs as per pc #1)
My wife's machine is a laptop connected to the router over WiFi. [22H2 19045 ver 4046]
The printer is a Canon Laser connected to the router via WiFi.
Router is AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Router.
A simple 'This is a test' from Notepad is taking 6m 43sec to come out of the printer from my wife's laptop which is 3 feet from the printer.
A similar Notepad test print from my desktop pc is taking 4m 30sec to come out.
In both cases, we initially get error messages, then sometime later, the prints come out.
Before this morning, we had a delay in the prints appearing - say 30sec or so, but not this long. Overnight in the small hours, we had several power cuts (glitches more like) some of these being only seconds long (but enough to require the digital clocks to be set to the correct time).
Both pcs have had the print spooler service stopped, the printer folder cleared and the spooler restarted. The router has been rebooted and so have both pcs and the printer.
Any idea of what is going on and how to fix this?
Kind regards,
Art
