    Hello,

It's mainly mp4 files and they have not been backed up.

    1. Didn't find exact match on Kigston site
Kingston 64GB 100 G3 USB 3.0 DataTraveler (DT100G3/64GB) looks exactly like mine although it only reads Kingston and 64GB on mine

In Device Manager events it says: Device USBSTOR\DISK&VEN_KINGSTON&PROD_DATATRAVELER_3.0&REV_1100\E0D55E62C7892151991EA77S&0 was deleted.

    2. It's two to three years old. Bought it at local shop. If there's still warranty - I don't know.

    3. No. I never knew there were counterfeited usb sticks.

    4. Haven't verified.

    5. Used it just few days ago. I suspect the damage was done as a result of windows update. There was an update downloaded and waiting for restart. I set the computer to go to hibernation while I was still listening some music (not on the USB stick) and didn't bother to restart and went to bed. In the morning the PC had restarted and there was no sound because the drivers were gone.

In device manager events it says drive has been deleted, configured, restarted

I bought some Kingston 100 G3 DataTraveler USBs three years ago and they are exactly like the posted picture.
They have a five year warranty. You can contact Kingston support to request replacements.
If yours don't look the same then they might be fakes. Kingston support can probably advise you about that as well.

    hi @xandy

I am unable to make out whether you have a genuine Data Traveler. Anyway from the Disk Management screenshot it appears to be a partition lost. Try to recover the partition using MiniTool Partition Wizard v9.1. Download and install MiniTool Partition Wizard v9.1 Download MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition 9.1 for windows - Filepuma.com

Safely remove all other external storage devices and plug in only your faulty flash drive. Launch Minitool Partition Wizard. If it offers to download a new version say NO and proceed ( On later versions of Partition Wizard Partition Recovery is not free)

Run Partition Recovery as shown in the sample screenshot below.

No files showing on USB drive (Kingston Data Traveler)-23-02-2024-15-38-40.jpg

Then Full Disk > Next > Quick Scan >Next. Allow the scan to complete . At the end of the scan you will get a window showing the lost partition - if found. Select the lost partition by putting a tick mark on the square clicking on it and > Finish.

If no partition is found , do a Full Scan instead of a Quick Scan.

If no partition is found even after a Full Scan, I am afraid that you may have try to format the drive. All data will be lost.
