    Help me decide ram

    Hello,

I intend to buy 32GB ram. These 2 ram below which one is better? I am a noob so it seems the same 3600 Mhz but there are many items in the specs, not sure how to see and compare. I heard there is something called QVL list but I am not sure how and what to check. Thanks

If you're going to use 32GB in your current Asus P7P55D-E PRO it won't work. The max is 16GB. At least that's the limit for the i5 760...

GSkill has a great "compatible" RAM finder...

RAM Configurator - G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd.

Look for the RAM (on that list), with the lowest (fastest), timings.

To be honest, I'd just go with the one that's cheaper. The Corsair appears to have better latency. But the tested latency says 18 while its rated latency is 15. Not sure what that means exactly. You want the lowest latency if at all possible. Though, that was more of a thing back in the day...

Ideally you'd want to read the motherboard manufacture's QVL (Qualified Vendor List), but that can be a crapshoot.

Gskill is too expensive so I decide to choose either Corsair and Lexar.

    It's $89 for 32GB... that's an awesome price. ^^
It's $10 cheaper than the Corsair... and is faster (lower timings).

I used to buy Corsair Dominators for all my builds.
But Corsair uses higher timings, which translates into slower bandwidth (speed).
    So... I switched to Gskill.
