When you installed new CPU did you reset the bios so it's all clear by removing battery as it may have wrong details
I did a clear cmos (even took the battery out and shorted it) plus i did a bios update

Time to go back a lot of steps. Open the machine and check all cables for the drives to make sure nothing was left not connected. Place each drive in SATA 1 to test to see if the bios sees each drive. When the bios can see each drive, you connect first drive, then boot and check. Do the same as connecting each drive. A drive does not need to be formatted since the bios sees hardware not software layer.

    Hi all,

    System details -
OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
    Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045
System Manufacturer Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.
    System Model MS-7C56
    Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

    M.2
    SSD 665P 1TB M.2 PCIe 3.0x4
    WD Blue SN550 500GB NVME m.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 SSD (OS Drive)

    Sata -
    6TB western Digital - WD6003FRYZ
    1TB western Digital - WD1003FZEX
    1 TB Toshiba - Z34E5TJNS WK7

I put in a new AMD processor in to my system (Ryzen 5600G) , went from Ryzen 5 3600, since putting this chip in, I was unable to my Sata drives in Windows.

the M.2 are showing fine in windows but i can not get the sata one to show at all

I have looked in disk manager and cant see anything
I have redone my chipset drivers
I have reinstalled windows (full wipe , no saved files)
Looked for outdated drivers and no install is available for it

I have moved the bios from Bios from UEFI to CSM and that didnt help (bare in mind it was working fine on UEFI before i put the chip in)

I have done a try basically everything. i can see it it moaning about the serial ATA controller, ive tried getting drivers off here but i cant see to find the right ones.

I Hope some one can help me.

    Here is my bios settings
If BIOS recognize the drives the problem isn't hardware (SATA ports, drives or cables). The issue is under Windows.
Open Device Manager. Is there any yellow alerts of missing drivers?

Did you buy the CPU as second hand?
On some MB, SATA 5 - 6 share resources with the M.2. You have the- WD1003FZEX and Z34E5TJNS WK7 on port 5 & 6. Move to ports 2 & 3 and disable all SATA hot swap.

For Win 10 or 11 CSM should be disabled.

There is option to boot from my 2 ssd
This problem has to do with windows 11
    Specially with ata controller
There is question mark on my ata controller but i cant do anything to that
Windows update is not solving ata controller
Someone said that resetting and remove the windows can solve the problem but i dont want that

Haven't come across the same issue but would hazard a guess that if one CPU works on that motherboard but the other doesn't then there is an issue with the board itself or the issue is with the BIOS not supporting the CPU that doesn't work properly. But then no information is given about the motherboard and whether the 5600 CPU is supported by it or if newer drivers are available for it.

Solved.. Go to device manager> ide ata/atapi controller> update on standard sata ahci controller >browse on my comp>let me picn from a list> pick standard sata ahci controller (lowest option for me)
