Memtest86+ v7 shows Passmark memtest 8.4 logo???

    Memtest86+ v7 shows Passmark memtest 8.4 logo???


    I just downloaded memtest86+ v7 from this website. Memtest86+ | The Open-Source Memory Testing Tool I selected the link on the right side of the page for V7.00 and selected the Windows USB installer version. I ran the installer and rebooted my system into the USB drive.

    Seemed to start the same way it always has, but then displayed this logo, which surprised me because the version number is wrong AND because various web pages said not to use the Passmark version.

    Is there a logical explanation?

    I use the Passmark version, and if I'm not mistaken, Passmark built it... I think.

    Okay, from the Memtest86+ website.

    Memtest86+ is unrelated to 'Memtest86', a closed-source `Freemium` software released in 2013 by PassMark Software Pty Ltd.
    For free it works, and works well. I really have had no need for anything premium. Though, would be nice.

    Every time I buy memory on eBay I use memtest86, and it has reported bad memory when there was bad memory.

    Where's this "logo" you speak of?

    I never had good luck with the + version. Maybe that's changed now. I'll have to take it for a spin again.

    What version of the program do you use? Download URL?
    Where's this "logo" you speak of?
    It shows up briefly a few seconds after the program starts, and lists out some parameters.

    It disappears when the actual memory test starts.

    My version is probably outdated now. I just copy the memtest86-usb.img file to the Ventoy formatted USB drive... Ventoy
