My Mouse/touchpad and Keyboard acting weird

    Winver: 22H2, Build 19045, Windows 10

    Hi.
So recently I've got installed a new keyboard on my laptop. It worked fine for about a month. Then suddenly it stopped working at all (the power key still works though). Even my USB keyboard, the Mouse, and the Touchpad started to act weird -- Like, suddenly the Win key of the USB keyboard temporarily stops working, Mouse/Touchpad buttons stops working. Thinking it might be a software problem, I clean reinstalled Windows (though I didn't wipe out the C Drive), but the problems still exist. On the other hand, I had this USB extension Hub (kinda old one) hooked up to the machine, and I didn't realise it had become faulty till it started glitching out. So I dunno the malfunction of the machine hardware was caused by the faulty Usb Hub or a fault with the new Keyboard.

    Any thoughts, please?
    Thanks for reading.

Regarding your keyboard: compare the behaviour of
    a. an external keyboard
    b. the on-screen keyboard
    (Search Settings for "on screen").

    Thx for the reply.

    (a) I haven't been able to test it with an external keyboard yet.

    (b) I tried the OnScreen keyboard. When the USB keyboard starts to malfunction, for ex. when the WIN key stops working, the WIN key on the OnScreen keyboard also refuses to function. I have clean installed Windows twice now, but the problem remains, so I guess it's not a Driver issue. If the issue is with the Keyboard, why does the Mouse/Touchpad button (Right one) stop responding too (?). Besides the issues with those two devices, I don't have any other hardware issues that I'm aware of. I'm perplexed by what's going on...

That doesn't seem to fit the definition of a clean install. A clean install is to unallocated space on disk (= delete existing partitions, then install).

I'm guessing you mean you logged in to Windows, then 'installed' - i.e. an in-place upgrade repair, and your programs and accounts were retained.

If so, all your 3rd party issues, and probably tweaks, remain in effect.

You can try a clean boot and see if there's any difference, also boot to Safe Mode.
I.e. try to determine if anything running is doing this, and if so, what.

No, actually I deleted, recreated and formatted the C partition in the second install, as you've said above. There should be absolutely no way there are residual files, tweaks, or settings from the previous install now. Yet the malfunctions remain. Hmm, I dunno. Yet to try a different external keyboard.

Now that you've corrected/clarified your statement, seems likely to be a hardware problem with your keyboard replacement.
