    Move Unallocated Partition

Is it possible to move the "Unallocated partition" at the beginning of the drive, so it can be added to "C:" or the "Recovery partition" using available free sofware? Win10 22H2.

It's only 301 MB. Just make the EFI partition 301 MB bigger.

Or... if your OCD demands it... get Minitool Partition Wizard (free)...

And use it to slide the EFI and Windows partitions 301MB to the left, one at a time, which will leave the unallocated space after the Windows partition. Then you can add that 301 MB to the Windows partition.

Moving EFI to left will probably work, but moving Windows to left probably will not as the hidden MSR partition will get in the way, and it is not moveable even with partition managers. Probably easiest to just delete it as it is not used.

An alternative is to image back MSR up, then restore image immediately after moved efi partition, then windows can be moved.

Install minitool partition wizard. Launch and right click on the c: partition, choose extend, next to take free space from: in the drop-down menu choose the unallocated space drag the slider right or left to choose the quantity, click OK, and at the top left click apply.

This almost certainly will not work as I said in previous post due to unmoveable hidden MSR partition.

I didn't know it was unmoveable.
The msr I think should be able to be erased and recreated in the unallocated space after left-swiping the efi partition.

If I delete Data E: and IMG F: which would make them unallocated space and image the drive with Macrium and then retore the new created image. Would this consolidate all the unallocated space at the end of the drive including the 301 MB? I am concerned moving the "EFI" might cause boot problems.

You can use Macroum Reflect to image partitions (including MSR) and then restore by drag and drop in order yiu wish but not that sinple unless really familiar with Macrium Reflect.

Moving EFI with tool like minitool partition Wizard Free is easier. Moving it will not cause boot problems.

Thanks for the info. I noticed when selecting the partitions to image with Macrium, there is no option for the unallocated space. When I restore the image will the "EFI" be at the beginning of the drive or the same position as before (after the unallocated)?

    No drag and drop.

Btw, I tried MiniTool Partition Wizard Portable. I do not trust it! Did not work as manual stated.
