Intel "Arc" CPU drivers = default iGPU drivers supplied by MS updates?

    Intel "Arc" CPU drivers = default iGPU drivers supplied by MS updates?


    I found an announcement about new Intel 12th Gen CPU graphic drivers labelled "Arc".

    Is this driver the same as the default iGPU (=embedded CPU graphic) driver which is supplied by MS Windows update channel?
    or is another type / a special GPU driver ?

    In other words: Are there more than one kind of iGPU drivers for Intel CPUs?

    Basically they are are providing the latest driver because manufactures often are not up to date for reasons. There is no need to install that driver over going to the proper source which is intel.
