Unable to use webcam

That thread has been deleted so I'm not sure of the basis for this. Before I start deleting a bunch of registry keys, can anyone else vouch for this?

On some pcs, if you press F10, it disables the camera - I puzzled for ages on this trying every setting I could think off, then I pressed F10 by accident and boom - camera was there! Pressed it again and error message all back.

Ah, that's it! I wasn't able to delete everything there, but it still fixed it! I plugged in my camera and it worked. I didn't have to do anything else. Thank you! I haven't been able to use it in I don't know, 8 or 9 months. And thank you to all who've contributed.
