@zbook and others, Here is my situation so far.
I had corrupt BIOS and fixed that
i had a 8GB RAM module which was defective, and have replaced. Now have 16GB once again
The computer boots, with no beeps and boots first into my lock screen (with my picture and name) and then the Desktop, same as it has always done. Same desktop and same icon on desktop.
I've run an elevated CMD prompt and run sfc /scannow and it found errors and fixed them
When I was "trying" to boot into Windows before, with the corrupt memory module it would boot and then Windows would crash.
I have Windows 10 Pro 22H2 laptop is HP 15-f100dx and older HP laptop.

Internet works. Go to a picture folder and pictures show up. Files are intact.

HOWEVER I have no sound. And on top of that VLC Media player crashes if I try to run it. My music program, "Quinessential Media Player" will open but songs do not play, and there is no sound.
in SERVICES.MSC I see Audio is working and all the associated services that it depends on , such as Windows Audio Endpoint Builder and RPC are running, and fine.
I even tried to plug in the laptop to my TV like I do with my HP 15-dy2132wm laptop (new with NVMe drive, and it shows on the TV but NO SOUND.
So Some programs associated with sound, such as Videolans VLC Media player were fresh downloaded after I uninstalled them, and cleaned out the left over registry entries using Revo Uninstaller. So fresh updated versions of both VLC and Quinessential Media Player. So should not be an issue with older out of date programs.

Now my question is, after i tried HP Support Assistant and they did a diagnosis of the SOUND and come up with no solution, Can I just put in the USB drive that has Windows 10 22H2 I just downloaded from Microsoft and do a "Repair " ? I want to keep all of my files, and all of the programs I have already installed in it, without loosing all those programs.
Can that be done? Will it probably fix the issues?

Thanks so much for all the links and guidance!! I really do appreciate it.... AND I have been using Duck Duck Go search for any solutions.

Just wanted to add: I am responding to this post on the Laptop in question. Firefox works well. I also run TROUBLESHOOTER in PC Setting. and choose Audio. It searched and said PROBLEMS FOUND Audio Service not responding.
So without re-installing Window10 as a "repair" option, is there a way to fix the Audio Service?

    1) Run the HP UEFI hardware diagnostics overnight while sleeping (system > extensive > loop until error) > the next day click esc > run the component tests > post images or share links displaying the tests that were and were not performed and results

    2) Enter the serial number or SKU into the HP website > post a link
    > check for an audio codec

    3) Run these Windows troubleshooters > click view detailed information

Click view detailed information > post share links

    msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic
    msdt.exe -id PowerDiagnostic
    msdt.exe -id AudioPlaybackDiagnostic
    msdt.exe -id AudioRecordingDiagnostic

Sound is back and programs, such as VLC Media player and Quinessential Media Player are now working.

I went to my wife's laptop, same make and model, HP 15-f100dx and opened regedit.exe and went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACINE \ System\ CurrentControlSet \ Services and I exported the WHOLE "Services" over to a USB drive. Came to this computer and double clicked on the file I just exported and it wrote the info into the registry... most of it. Some things could not be exported because they were in use.. Took out the USB and rebooted and Voila I heard the Microsoft sound when it rebooted. Checked out the programs that would not play sound or video and they now worked.

Better than trying to do an in place upgrade/repair.. I worried that I might loose the Outlook Express that I have used for these many years. I have seen Windows Updates literally remove it, and then I had to do some extra to get it back. The originator, Run as XP site is no longer around. so I could not get any new keys to finish the install.

All seems to work well now.

One thing of note. I ran a system restore and it took a LONG time for it to find the drives that have system restore as "ON" but it did find them. I created a new restore point "Sound working after SYSTEM added to registry"
But in services, I do not see now the Audiosvr listed in the SERVICES.MSC when opened.
I did notice that w3logsvc is listed as <Failed error code 2>
On wife's laptop, that service is ok.
Also on my new laptop, the HP 15-dy2132wm the service Audiosvr and w3logsvc are both missing in the Services, so not sure how critical these are.
