By filling in the boxes, here....

    Attachment 403501

The motherboard manufacturer, especially on older motherboards, doesn't always have the latest chipset drivers.
    AMD does, however.

They're also posted here on Ten Forums...

it appears so now i dont know what version to download. what is the standard precdure? mb or cpu manufacturer or which ever has the latest?

also, i need help with the bios update. we have a very old version with many security vulnerbailities..
can we update directly to latest version or is there some that must be installed first?

I've noticed that the Win 10 and Win 11 chipset drivers (at least for MY motherboard), are always the exact same driver.
But... I don't know if that's true for all motherboards, or for all time.
So... it's best just to grab the Win 10 one for Win 10, and the Win 11 one for Win 11.

However you decide to do it... the chipset drivers you'll find anywhere... come from here...
    https://www.amd.com/en/support

Which, is why I gave you that link.

    fair enough ty.
i read in gygabite bios, this info Note: Before update BIOS to F40 or later version, make sure you have prior updated to F32.
what will happen if someone does not take note of this warning and try to flash F40 or later without prior udating to F32?

    I don't "know". I'm not Gigabyte.
But it's a safe bet that if Gigabyte tells you that F40 has an F32 prerequisite... I'd listen to them.

Unlike chipset drivers... the BIOS is strictly motherboard manufacturer business.
Listen to what they tell you. If you screw up the BIOS you may kill the motherboard. ^^

When it comes to flashing the BIOS (on "any" motherboard), do exactly what the motherboard manufacturer and the motherboard manual... tell you.

If they say: "Put your forefinger on your head and spin around three times before flashing the BIOS".... do it !!!
A screwed up BIOS flash = a screwed up or dead... motherboard.

    fair warning.

need help again.. we copied the F32 bios version on a usb drive and inserted it in the motherboard then we booted in bios and went qflash and update bios.. problem is the usb drive does not show and the bios update file also does not show, we did extract it prior and also tried without extracting. current bios version is F22 so the update should work, should..
we tried for 40 minutes updating bios no success. tried various usb drives and usb ports no success. what we do wrong?

What is the BIOS file type? If you downloaded as mb_bios_ga-a320m-s2h_f42.zip file you must extract the A320MS2H.F42 file and put it on the USB root.

Ohh! so the MB determines the chipset, not the cpu.. ugh. good to know.. we installed the x570 thinking it was correct but now that needs to be reevaluated. should we notice problems when the chipset we installed is not the right one?

    - - - Updated - - -

    now all makes sense

    - - - Updated - - -

hold on.. what is this? GA-A320M-S2H (rev. 1.x), rev2 rev3?, are these MB versions?

    - - - Updated - - -

thanks but how did you get this result?

    - - - Updated - - -

from everything i learned now its best to get the chipset here GA-A320M-S2H (rev. 1.x) Support | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global
    do you agree?
Gigabyte over time has had 3 revisions of the GA-A320M-S2H motherboard. They are all very similar but it is important to know which revision you have because the downloads may be different for each revision. Note all the revisions have the AMD A320 chipset.

If you go to the following links and click on Support you will find:
    * Downloads for drivers (Audio, Chipset, LAN, SATA, BIOS & Utilies)
    * CPU support (which AMD CPUs the motherboard supports)
    * Manual
    * Support List (Memory, SSD, M.2)

    GA-A320M-S2H (rev. 3.x)
GA-A320M-S2H (rev. 3.x) Key Features | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global

Like I said you have to look at each motherboard individually to see what downloads they have and which CPUs they support.

AMD released new chipset generations over time
    A320, B350 and X370 (February 2017)
    B450 and X470 (March 2018)
    B550 (June 2020) and X570 (July 2019)

Each chipset generation represented an advancement in motherboard technology.

Motherboards with A320, B350 and X370 chipsets came out with the Ryzen 1000 series CPUs. However, many of the motherboards with these chipsets also support newer Ryzen 2000, 3000 and 5000 series CPUs.

Thanks for getting back to me, i am not sure about the filesystem of the usb, will check asap and report back.
we used rufus to wipe the usb clean.
the downloaded file is an zip archive mb_bios_ga-a320m-s2h_f32.zip
we extracted it and got autoexec.bat A320MS2H.F32 Efiflash.exe and we placed this in the root of the usb
the usb has more than 4gb storagespace if this matters?

Our board has the rev 1.1 id. we formated the usb to fat32 and the update to biosf32 and that worked..
Now we are in big troubble...... the latest version of that bios GA-A320M-S2H (rev. 1.x) Support | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global is F56g.. we got this and flashed it and now the pc doesnt boot anymore its just a black screen with a tiny white stribe in the top left and we cant even go in the bios.... only now i notice that f56g and f56b and f56a are the only versions that have a letter at the very end.... a maybe means alpha and b beta but what g is i cant say.
can a pc repair shop fix this? what can we do? if we cant even go in the bios how can this board be rescued?
if version a b and g of the bios are not supposed to be flashed why does gigabyte even list them in public this is very very silly! tell me is there any way to fix the board now?..
