One or more block group descriptor checksums are invalid resizing ext4

When I resize an ext4 partition in Paragon Hard Disk Manager 17, even if it's an empty partition that I just made in HDM, if I run a file system check on it it says: one or more block group descriptor checksums are invalid a bunch of times. I thought this had something to do with having Ubuntu installed on the ext4 partition, but I can just make a new ext4 partition in HDM and then instantly resize it and it produces this same error. Any idea why? There aren't many options when formatting a partition, only sectors per cluster. This issue causes Ubuntu to not be able to run. When I boot up Ubuntu on a resized ext4 partition it says I need to manually run fsck, but I don't want to have to do that every time I copy a disk and resize the ext4 partition with Paragon HDM. Happens with both GPT and MBR.

IMPORTANT: You can download a free version of the Paragon software if you want to test it out: Paragon Partition Manager Community Edition | Paragon Software Just create a new ext4 partition. Then run the check filesystem to see everything is okay. Then resize the partition and rerun the check filesystem and it should say: one or more block group descriptor checksums are invalid a bunch of times.

I want to be able to resize the ext4 partitions in Paragon without it causing the checksum issue. I don't want to have to fix it after the fact every time.
