    repeated Android device disconnection warnings

Every so often, around 1-2 times per day, I get a message pop up warning me that an Android device I've connected to the PC in the past, has stopped responding or been disconnected. And I don't know why. It has been several days since I've connected anything Android to the USB port, but this still regularly comes up at seemingly random times. I've tried uninstalling said devices, but to no avail. The dumbest thing is, this seems to be caused by disconnecting the device the "official" way, by either "disconnecting" it via Windows' task tray, or ending the USB transfer mode and/or switching to charging, via Android's side. Any other device, like my phone, if I've just pulled the cable instead, this doesn't pop the error. Go figure. But does anyone know how to fix this? I can't find anything specific about this device via Event Viewer, either.

This doesn't address your specific issue, but the first thing I would do is run an AV program and look for malware, just to be sure.

That popup is not normal if you haven't had the device plugged in for several days, and malware can be unobtrusive sometimes. Like, for instance, popping up a notification and having you click OK to install some other malware on your system.

I only say this because it happened to me.

I think it's something to do with Google's Nearby Share app, because it froze up on me and I had to force close it. When I did, that warning popped up yet again.
