Bluetooth driver error - USB dongle BT 4.0

I have bluetooth dongle that does not seem to be recognized by my win 10 system. Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3693)
    Here is the error :
This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

    What I have tried :
    • Device Manager and tried to reinstalled, disable, enable etc with no luck.
turned the bluetooth setting off and on and still not luck.
ran the troubleshooting for bluetooth and it does not repair anything.

When I went to the device website, it says that Win 10 will automatically plug and play and it doesn't need a driver:
Cambridge Silicon Radio Bluetooth Driver | Device Drivers

The device name is : CSR8510 A10 and in device managers it is Generic Bluetooth Radio with a yellow exclamation point.
Here are some of the errors in the properties settings :

Device USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001\6&1ff8b909&0&12 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

    Last Device Instance Id: USB\VID_8087&PID_0A2A\5&2CCCB896&0&2
    Class Guid: {e0cbf06c-cd8b-4647-bb8a-263b43f0f974}
    Location Path:
    Migration Rank: 0xF000FFFF0000F120
    Present: false
    Status: 0xC0000719

Thank you for looking. I am open to suggestions on what to try next.

Cambridge silicon radio which became CSR plc was taken over by Qualcom in 2015 and they no longer provide drivers for that bluetooth dongle

You should be able to use a CSR basic driver OR a Microsoft provided driver
on device manager right click the entry and then click update driver
on the window that opens select browse my computer for drivers
then select let me pick from a list of available drivers
on the next window select bluetooth from common hardware types
scroll down to cambridge silicon radio
    select generic bluetooth radio
    click next
    ignore the warning and install

if that does not work use the same procedure but this time
uninstall that driver previously selected and try the microsoft bluetooth driver

If that gets you no further It is probably better to buy a more compatible bluetooth dongle.

The other thought that comes to mind is - I do not know what exact Acer laptop you have but are you sure it does not come with Bluetooth on the wireless/bluetooth card - many do
    =========================
    The entry shown on
    0A12 - 0001
    is
Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd 0a12 Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode) 0001

the other entry is NOT connected with that usb dongle but refers to Intel
Intel Corp. 8087 Bluetooth wireless interface 0a2a

AS I mentioned before are you sure that laptop does not have bluetooth

I have seen this before with other hardware. Some devices are supposedly plug'n'play on Windows 10 and the manufacturer doesn't provide drivers. I would download the driver for Windows 7 64-bit and install it. This should fix it. It might also enable some features the generic driver hadn't or improve performance. I run Windows 11 on my hybrid tablet/laptop Fujitsu Stylistic Q702. Most devices didn't even have drivers for Windows 10 because they are plg'n'play. So I used the Windows 7 drivers and it is much faster and stable that when running Windows 10 64-bit!
