Lenovo 14s display - unreadable with horizontal and vertical lines.

Today my Lenovo 14s screen is now showing all horizontal and vertical lines, and is absolutely unreadable. Even the red Lenovo boot screen is all horizontal lines, and unreadable.

    Suggestions.

By the way, the warranty expired on October 31, 2023, like just ten days ago.

Not that it really matters, but Win 10 64 2H22.

    - I suppose it depends how comfortable you are with taking a laptop apart and reseating connectors in the (quite possibly vain) hope of some improvement. It has been known for cables to be trapped etc..

Sounds too much like a hardware issue, so your options are limited.

I would call Lenovo and ask for assistance. Maybe they can repair as courtesy

I'd boot a Linux Mint, or Ubuntu/Lubuntu/Kubuntu LiveDVD and see if the same occurs.

I did the same with same type issue with an HP Laptop 15 from 2019 with Win10 Home and Upgraded to Win11 that I was given for parts, worked with it awhile, Linux had no issue.

When the screen flickered at startup I would hold the power button down for 8-10 seconds to do a full shutdown, start again and it worked perfectly until the next power feature kicked in. It has the Intel Iris Plus Graphics adapter, driver version 26.20.100.7026 from 2/25/2020.

Finally on Sunday I wiped the drive completely, installed Win10, updated it then did the Upgrade to Win11, problem hasn't recurred since.

What do you see if you boot to BIOS/UEFI?

If the screen display is ok, the basic hardware may be ok.

Restart the machine and press the Enter key at the Lenovo logo. There may be a press Enter to Interrupt message on the screen. This may cause the Startup Interrupt Menu to appear. Pressing F1 at the Startup Interrupt Menu will cause the computer to enter BIOS.

    or
    Press F2 repeatedly

Recommended ways to enter BIOS - ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, ThinkStation - Lenovo Support GB

I was not able to see the boot up message where you can interrupt normal bootup to select a USB drive as the boot device.
    So, check and maybe checkmate.

Screen display is NOT OK. I know there is a an Interrupt option, but I can't get to it.

If you can't even get to the BIOS... well, Lenovo or a repair shop, I'm afraid...

After some contemplation overnight, I think that's my own option. I did a search on "how to grovel with tech support" but didn't find anything.

I checked on the Lenovo website and their support line is not active on weekends. Today it's Saturday.

Yeah, you see, computers normally only break during the working week
    (between 9 and 17h)

What if you plug a monitor to your laptop ?

I don't know if it's the same but on my Lenovo machine you just tap enter during power up interrupt startup to get to bios.

Recommended ways to enter BIOS - ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, ThinkStation - Lenovo Support US

    Note   Note

Enter BIOS during Power On (before Windows loads)

Power on the system by pressing the power button.
Repeatedly tap the F1 key when the Lenovo, ThinkPad, ThinkStation, or ThinkCentre logo appears,
The computer may beep once to indicate that it will boot to BIOS.
Some models require users to continuously press Enter instead of F1 during power on; once the Startup Interrupt Menu displays, press F1 to enter BIOS.
