Lacie d2 Quadra V3 eSATA Shows In File Explorer But Not In BIOS

This happened when the PC';s power was cut abruptly.....I think. Explained later.

Recently I couldn't find my LaCie external eSATA storage drive in File Explorer. Now that works but I don't see it in BIOS and the Marvell Screen that appears during Boot after the regular ASUS POST doesn't see anything. Pic attached. I think I need to reinstall something but not sure exactly what.
I reinstalled the chipset and the corresponding Marvell driver but still not seeing it.
This could have happened when we had a power cut but considering I also had to reinstall Microsoft Store and 2 of my Apps for the umpteenth time, Windows could be the culprit.
    I checked for malware, nothing.

Some eSATA share the resources with a regular SATA. Try to see if it's not listed under SATA 4 or 5

It's always been listed as drive 0 of 4 physical disks. After that is a card reader x 4 and my 2 optical drives.

The problem is that LaCie never had an installation disk so it's a questiom of siomply getting Windows to detect it. Which it is doing a.t.m. in Explorer but not in BIOS.

Right, the BIOS [Basic Input Output System] can only list the USB and eSATA ports on the motherboard, not the devices plugged into them, that's up to the Operating System after it gets started up and loads drivers. And there's a lot of drivers provided in Windows and/or in Windows Update for things such as keyboards, mice, USB Thumb drives, etc., that don't come with installation software.

Yes I understand that but that 2nd BIOS post used to always read d2 Quadra V3C 3TB rather than nothing detected. I'll try unplugging and repluggiung it to see if the BIOS registers it. It was also always listed im the HDD section of the BIOS. I don't what happened to cause this but right now I'm blaming Windows cumulative updates that seem to go out incomplete, in my view as an ex-Microsoft MVP.

Well, it seems that unplugging and replugging the drive worked this time. It now appears in that second BIOS POST window.

After a few restarts I'll mark this solved.
