    +1. Plus you get repeatability. If you need to do dodging and burning in a print darkroom, and you need to make many prints, that is a laborious process. Standing up. With Lightroom/Photoshop and a GOOD printer, all you need to do is change the Copies setting.

    I think by now there is no more Dektol stain in my fingernails.

    That is a given.
    Huh - professional photo labs are automated. Comparing a home developer with a high quality printer is comparing oranges and bananas.

    Professional photo labs, aka photofinishers (at least in the USA) produce "averaged" prints. No real, honest color correction. No dodging and burning. The real "custom" labs offer these services, at a price.
