Have you taken this up with Dell - the job should be under some sort of warranty, I'd hope..?

    Contacting Dell

The motherboard only had a 30 day warranty and it's way past that date
    I also have:
    1. an internal hard drive that failed
    2. 4 external hard drives (2 Flash Drive's and 2 Hard Disk Drive's) that give unspecified errors when trying to fix error with chkdsk
    3. Read only Card Reader
    4. My BD-Writer won't eject the tray.

Dell wanted to sell me a new had drive 1TB 7200RM model for $49 and a DVD writer for $9 +$39 S&H+$39 Labor. I'm not sure where the labor came from because i am going to install the devices myself. And told me i would have to send my computer to their Depot for repair of the SD Card Reader which costs $39 for 12 day turnaround or $59 for 5 day turnaround + cost of any parts that have to be replaced once they diagnose the problem.
