I did something to my mouse pointer in Win 10

While I was trying to in large the pointer. Now when I scroll with the track ball It jumps about 3 lines down and when I click on the slider bar on the right side, I have to click on the track ball again to unlock the mouse from slider bar or the hole screen, like on FireFox, the whole FireFox screen moves. How do I fix these.

Go to search and type Control Panel/Mouse/Pointer Options tab. Change Pointer Speed, scrolling etc
You can go to Pointers tab and choose a Different Pointer or go back to Use Default.

You can quite readily go back to how things were by using a System Restore point.. provided
    a. You have an appropriate one
    b. Restoring completes successfully.

(No harm is done if it doesn't).

Tutorial available if needed in the huge searchable Tutorials section.

I didn't have a System Restore point set upped yet when I made the mouse changes. So I don't have a System Restore point to fall back on. So now what?

And thank you very much for your reply.

You'll need to reverse the changes you made manually.
    I hope you kept notes.
Otherwise it's a guessing game... which could take a lot of someone's time.

    Tutorial:
Change Mouse Pointers and Change Pointer Color and Size in Windows 10

Try setting the scheme to 'none'

I have a restore point created daily - on schedule- (Tutorial available).
If you haven't taken due precautions to protect yourself--- from yourself.. that is indeed your responsibility.

I'm guessing you don't use 3rd party disk imaging regularly and routinely here either - endlessly recommended here.

If you installed a Windows Theme, you can try uninstalling that.

Sounds like you have turned on ClickLock in the mouse properties.

Well I got the mouse settings back to normal when I shut down the laptop to move everything over to the other room. When I reset up the laptop into the other room the laptop came back up with the mouse working properly

Rebooting, or Shutting down the computer and Starting it up again is always the First Troubleshooting step you should try.
