"Unable to install driver package" error with Matthew Wai's batch file
I've used Matthew Wai's batch file from the backup and restore Windows 10 drivers tutorial successfully in the past. However, while using it today, I noticed it give an "Unable to install driver package" error message for some of the drivers while restoring. The restore is usually pretty quick but today it was very slow.
The machine in question is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Tiny that came with Windows 10. I don't care for any of the pre-loaded software so I wipe the machine and do a clean Windows install. Of course the drivers need to be restored so before wiping the machine, I use the Vantage software to update the drivers. It did find a few new ones. I also make sure to disable Windows Update from updating drivers as I've had it create issues in the past. Then I run the batch file to save the drivers and apply them after a clean install of Windows.
I've used it on other types of computers and never had an issue with that process before. What could be causing the error message?
