Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework settings missing
On my laptop, the "Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework" (IDPTF) menu on Power Options is missing, as shown on the screenshot (obviously taken from another computer), where it was available before. I've alread checked the following Registry key at, but it's not there:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\48df9d60-4f68-11dc-8314-0800200c9a66
Also, I don't have a IDPTF entry on Device Manager>System devices, only "Intel Dynamic Tuning" (IDT) entries, which I believe is just the same technology, but rebranded/redesigned for newer Intel processors. I already checked driver download page for laptop model, and there's no IDPTF driver there, only one for IDT.
Is it possible to import the corresponding Registry key from another laptop with the same CPU or recreate it manually?

If Intel's entries in Device manager are not showing any warning triangles then you can conclude that Intel no longer provides an IDPTF menu for your hardware.
You could check for Intel driver updates using the Intel Driver and Support Assistant.

Do check that Device manager does not show an Other devices section because that is just a euphemism for no driver found.

The menu was available not long ago, if not IDPTF, under IDT moniker. Not only that, but several other settings went missing as well, but I could unhide them by editing their respective Registry key.

If they were available and they are not anymore, the question is: What has turned them off?
I suspect that Intel or M$ has delivered an update that suppressed them. Maybe they were more part of a problem than part of a solution.
Are they important on the operation of the laptop?

I doubt Intel shut it down, as it didn't cause any issues AFAIK, most likely Windows Update breaking something as usual. There are identical complaints of that menu missing on laptops with older CPUs that supported IDPT instead of IDT. Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology itself is essential for thermal management of Intel CPUs, specially on laptops, and via that menu I could configure some parameters like cTDP to my liking and in consequence lower power usage, heat and fan noise, it was quite useful for me.
