Touchscreen not working - HP Touchsmart 320

Installed Win 10 on a HP Touchsmart 320 All-In-One. Can't get the touchscreen to work. Everything I've found says to install the graphics driver and that will fix the problem, but it doesn't.
Latest driver is AMD 15.201.1151.0. There does not appear to be a discreet touch driver.

Does anyone have touch working on this PC with Windows 10? If so, what did you do to make it work.

I don't know about this specific model, but in order for the touchscreen to function on a lot of systems, you need a separate driver aside from the display driver. Sometimes the problem is the interface rather than the touchscreen driver itself. For example, often loading a Serial I/O driver similar is enough to allow the touch screen to be seen.

I have looked on the HP web site, but you might want to start there to see what drivers other than just the display driver are available.

That seems to be a 2011 machine... so incompatibility may be expected as I'm sure you know.

I can't see any drivers for it now on HPs site, so even using an older driver isn't an easy option.
Same question was asked by someone who upgraded this device to Win 8.

This is about the only situation in which I might suggest a driver installer program in the hope it might help.
You could try Snappy Driver Installer (free) - only use something that looks relevant.

In the Device Manager look for Human Interface Device > HID-compliant touch screen.
There will be down arrow in the icon if disabled.
If so just Right click and enable.
    Maybe Scan for hardware changes.

Settings > System > About. There it should list > Pen and touch: Touch support with 10 touch points, or similar.

Standard device drivers are in Windows, nothing to do with video drivers.

As it is old you may need to get some system drivers from HP, submit the detailed model number to them.
If there was Windows 8 on there originally it would have been better to upgrade that to Windows 10 the drivers would be retained, rather than any sort of so-called clean install.

The Laptop I am using now has a touchscreen originally Windows 8.1 upgraded to Windows 10, touchscreen still works.
There was never a touchscreen driver supplied by the manufacturer.

    Rich,

    I agree with the others.
In particular, my Device mgr shows the same as Helmut's does in my touchscreen laptop.

Does your Device mgr show any warning triangles or a section called Other devices [if this section exists, it is a euphemism for 'No driver installed']?
For any such problem devices, you could consider Search for drivers by HardwareID - TenForums

    Best of luck,
    Denis

There were no warnings in device manager so I sold it without touch support (church thrift store). Told the person who bought it and he was okay with it. Everything else worked okay.
