USB Device not detected (but was detected before)

The mouse connected to my pc suddenly isn't recognized anymore, i have no idea why this happened as i haven't made any changes whatsoever recently.
Booted into windows as usual and the mouse was still working but then randomly as i was on the desktop, windows showed a notification "usb device not recognized" and the mouse cursor dissapeared, so i unplugged and replugged the device but the same error was shown. So i plugged the mouse into another usb-port and it worked for a moment before the cursor dissapeared again and windows showed the same error.
So i plugged the mouse into another pc to see if the issue is hardware related but it worked fine on the other machine.
Then i plugged two mice into my pc, the old one and another one and uninstalled the old mouse from the device manager and replugged the old mouse again.
Now it seems to work again.

I'm curious why this happened in the first place, haven't made any changes and the system as is worked flawless since the day i installed it so why do things like this seemingly randomly happen?
An attempt to find information about the issue in the event viewer failed, couldn't find anything but that might be because i don't know where to look exactly.

Could be as simple as a dodgy connector... or a broken/damaged/dirty USB socket on the first PC....

After few hours where i tought the mouse works it happened again, cursor dissapeared and windows showing notification usb device not recognized.
The connector? The mouse is plugged in the mainboard, it's relatively new, i don't see how it's broken or dirty.
Doesn't matter which usb port i use it still happens but other usb devices work fine.

Stuff randomly dies, no point in dwelling on it.

I have had instances where I had to remove a device from Device Manager and had to allow it to be redetected to get it to work properly.

To do this, try these steps:

First, connect another mouse so that you can navigate Windows easily.

Second, with the problematic mouse disconnected, locate the mouse in Device Manager and delete it. Note that it is possible that you may have to select View > Show hidden devices in Device Manager. Make sure that you are removing the correct mouse!

Third, reattach the mouse and see if it works better after it is redetected.

Probably some Windows Update interfered with the USB drivers. The original configuration could not make the mouse work. Unplugging and replugging the mouse or even connecting on another USB port makes no difference because Windows try to use the incompatible configuration. Once you removed the mouse and deleted the driver from Device Manager, it had to be reconfigured upon reconnecting. The new configuration works properly, that's my explanation. Have seen it before.
