New Data SSD - How to Allocate

I am running Win10/Pro x64 Version 22H2 Build 19045.2965 which I understand is the 'final' version before Win11

This is clearly a 'trivial' question, but all I get when searching are false positives.

I had a 2TB Crucial MX500 I could not access. I used my external usb docking station to apply power for 30 minutes twice with a brief interlude. Now I can see it in ThisPC and I have it at the stage where it is 'unallocated.'

What do I do to render it 'functional' as a simple data drive?

I have a backup on iDrive of a data drive I would love to replicate on this new drive.

[See NavyLCdr's post below. My para about Disk mgmt contained an error that his does not.]

I have no idea why putting it in your docking station would have made any difference.
Are you talking about a new disk or one that had previously been in use but had become Raw because of some fault or other?

    All the best,
    Denis

A little bit more to post #2:
    Open Disk Management
Right click on the disk, select initialize.
You will get a pop-up window, GPT should already be selected, Click OK.
Then back in disk management right click on the unallocated space for that disk.
    Select new simple volume.
Click next. The next window will be size, and the entire disk size will be shown, click Next.
The next window will be assigning a drive letter, pick the letter you want and click Next.
The only thing you should change on the next windows is Volume Name. Change that to what you want, and then Next.
Look everything over and click Finish.

    Thank You Both

    Thanks to both of you.
The software asked me to spread my reps around, Denis.

I did follow the instructions in these 2 links, hits to a search 'recondition SSD.)

I don't understand what power only for 30 min, a 30 sec break, and another 30 min of power only does.

This SSD became unusable when I did a factory reset. Why it impacted my Data drive is a mystery to me. I'm simply thankful to have access to an unanticipated 2TB of storage.
