partition external 2GB SSD

Hello John,

Are you using the 30.84 GB partition for anything on Disk 2?

If not, then you could do this below to add all the space to the "D" drive on Disk 2:

1) Delete the 30.84 GB partition to make it unallocated and automatically merge with the 86.29 GB unallocated space as one now.

2) Extend the "D" partition into all of the one unallocated space like below.

How did you setup the disk initially. I am mainly asking about the Primary Partition.

- Did you set it at that size ?
- If so, what did you use to set it up ?

Thank you both for the input. I never did anything to any partition. The drive is as it came 'out of the box'. I gather from your collective info, I should be able to claim 30.84 GB toward one single partition ... resulting in one device/one drive (1.99GB+30,84GB = 32.83GB). Something ludicrous here. Marketing/selling a device as 2GB which is actually/potentially 32.84GB??? This is what I meant by 'doesn't add up'. I will employ MiniTool Partition Wizard and see what it indicates. You have both been very kind, but the question remains in my head that there is something fundamentally wrong. Thank you again. I'll be back.

EDIT: somehow, I got into my head it's a 2GB device. Not sure how it got that way, but right now it's a 120GB device with only one active partition of 2GB. I THINK it got modified from 120GB to 2GB when I put OSGO (W10 on a stick) on it a long time ago. Dunno,... not sure of anything anymore. Thank you again.

Actually, it shows that it's around 120 GB in size instead of 2 GB if you merge all partitions.
