My MDisk BluRay Won't Open

My Version number is 22H2 (OS Build 19045, 2965.

I had to reformat my system disk to reinstall Win 10/Pro x64. Now the LG MDisk BluRay burner won't open.

My notes suggest that the side reads DK 22 B or OK 22 B or the B may be an 8. I gather I need to go to the LG website to download a driver to get it to work. Am I correct?

Is there a simple trick to have Win 10 detect the model number? Earlier versions of Windows had plug-and-play, didn't they?

The drive was installed in the fall of 2019.

Does it show under My Computer ~ Manage ~ Manage Devices?

I do not find it in Device Manager, hence the title.

Perhaps during some service work a tech disconnected it.

I will look tomorrow to see if this is the case.

Check it is physically connected to power and data cables.

IF.... it turns out to be a mechanical problem, the tiny hole in the RED box is for a paper clip.
Insert a paper clip and push gently... the tray will open.

Every optical drive (Bluray or DVD), I've ever seen has one of these tiny tray release holes.

The solution was 'simple' in that the drive had been disconnected by a repair technician in the shop and then not reinstalled. The cables were immediately adjacent to the sockets that accept them.

The solution was complex in that the tower is under a desk and I needed over an hour to complete a 'simple' task.

Thanks to all for sharing possible solutions. They may be needed in the future.
