As has been mentioned several times you don't have to worry about the setting in Msconfig. However, it is instructive to learn about your computer. In the screenshot you will see the following:
CPU: 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 @2.80GHz
Cores: 4
Logical processors: 8
Note, if your CPU did not have hyper-threading it would only have 4 cores and 4 logical processors.

That's fine you were asking a question about something and then also looking like you were not heading the advice with your responses after that. Pepane mentioned about it then you continue right back into trying to work out what its for and basically asking for a second opinion on the checkbox when someone already told you.
Well if you don't know how to find that out then the only thing that you need to know is that its for testing and you don't need to mess with it. That whole dialog is for testing and is not required by the user.

So I did a little research for you, and found this has been discussed on this forum in the past:

Check out the second post there. There's information about it. In summary, with the 10 minute researching I did, is that the only difference you would notice is that if your computer boots faster. You can save a few seconds, which isn't really that much. And one thing to keep note is that over time, since your computer is using however many you set, it could add some "wear and tear" to the hardware, since you are forcing the computer to use things that it doesn't need to use, at specific moments in time. Kinda similar to the idea of "overclocking".

(if you do decide to play around with those settings, which I highly do not recommend at all, then it would be best to disable this when you're done changing things up in it. But be careful, I read somewhere that someone had a bad hardware failure and wasn't able to boot up Windows anymore. So please take note of that.)
Ok, before you go further with your tone of communication, I have reversed all the changes I had made after Pepane's response.(that was helpful and reassuring) and I fully understand Mr. Ed's response (also very helpful and educational). I repeat, I am not worried (I am a physician and a Professor of Medicine in Medical School). It takes a lot more than this for me to get worried. I appreciate the learning I acquired from posting this thread.

If i had a tone i would be ****ing talking like this and unhinged. Maybe read me again because i don't have a tone you just think i do.
I was actually accommodating you while at the same time informing you that someone has already mentioned it but you seemed to step over that response without much recognition. Basically when you asked Ed for a second opinion then that is saying you don't think that Pepane gave you the right answer.
I was basically telling you that yes you don't need to worry about that dialog or that checkbox and if two people are saying something then they are not crazy.

I mean you are asking for help to understand something which is totally fine but when people are telling you what its for you are kind of overstepping that information
I have no idea where you are coming from with this comment. I have learned a lot from Mr. ED and pepanee. I made it clear to them that I was clueless on this topic when I posted this thread.. But not anymore .... thanks to their help. Right now, I am back to where I was (default setting) before this thread. BTW, I never asked Mr. ED for second opinion. I was happy with pepanee's. Actually, I did what he recommended instantly. So, the changes I made lasted for only a few minutes.
Lets just agree to disagree.

Yes you did, this creates room for others to assume that you are still unsure and asking someone else what the checkbox does. You have to realize that we don't know what you are thinking or even intend to do with your actions idk i am not you.
But this definitely reads as wanting second advice after someone had already mentioned what it was about.

Its fine to learn what something does this is the third time saying this now. There is nothing wrong with learning.
Can you tell me what that dialog is even meant for? I mean maybe you should start there if you want to learn what it is.
