My Windows Keys Have Stopped Working

    Hi.

I have a Logitech G710+ at work and the Windows keys have suddenly stopped working. No Win+L for locking the computer, for instance. This just happened yesterday, and there were no updates to anything applied. I have checked the Logitech software panel, and can find nothing wrong.

    I have tried:

    Rebooting several times
    Shutting down and restarting
Re-installing the Logitech software and drivers

I'm not sure what else to do. I am wondering if it was a key combination that I pressed to deactivate these keys, much like you can use ALT-Shift (I think) to change the language on a dual language keyboard.

    I am horribly confused...

Hi, first you can check that you can still use the key combo by using the on-screen keyboard:

If that works, you have a problem with your physical keyboard.

If it doesn't, try using a System Restore point.

And as it's at work, it shouldn't be your problem- call your IT admin/dept.
There may be some things you might want to be able to do that are not permitted because of policies your admin dept has applied.

    Thanks Dalchina.

The on screen keyboard works, so I guess it's something in my physical keyboard. I will check the settings one more time.

As for my IT department, well... Much comedy usually ensues when they get involved.

    Thanks again :)

    My company does not bother.

IT is in Manchester, I am in Aberdeen - they just send a new pc (billing our cost centre of course lol) and you return old.

Funny you should mention that. I was racking my brain trying to figure this out and the office comedian just came into my office and let me know that he had hit the gaming switch yesterday just to mess me up.

Now I have to find a way to retaliate. Gently of course.
