Comparison between AMD AHCI SATA and MS AHCI SATA drivers.

Does anybody know whether WinSAT disk is reliable or not as far as disk benchmarking is concerned?

I am asking because Windows 10 installs AMD AHCI SATA for K16/Kabini chipset and after performing two WinSAT disk benchmarks, it seems MS Standard AHCI driver wins over AMD one because of lower latencies and a tad better throughput. It could be placebo effect.

    Insights?

I always installed AMD AHCI driver till I realized that it caused issues, like HDD's lagging.

    Good day.

Thanks for the replies. I am leaving it, because it is Windows which is installing it, unless I notice something is wrong.

WinSAT is about as reliable as it can be which is relative just like anything else in this space it uses real32 data types to display its information and the tool was initially used to market software capabilities on any given platform so in this sense it would be as reliable as it can be.
