Printer driver repeatedly updated with the same version

Every time one of my Windows 10 Pro x64 22H2 systems checks for updates, the same printer driver update is downloaded and installed. The only way to (temporarily) address this problem is to pause updates.

The update appears in Update History under Drivers as:-
    Microsoft - Printer - 6/22/2006 12:00:00 AM 6.1.7233.1

The printer is a HP LaserJet 1100 (MS) which is installed on a neighbouring device.

In 2019 when I first installed Windows 10 on this Toshiba Satellite Pro P200 (manufactured 2006), I seem to remember having this problem and being able to inhibit this behaviour. I have just 'refreshed' the laptop using Media Creation Tool 22H2 and the problem immediately reappeared. This time, I am unable to fix the problem. If anyone has a suggestion, I would be very pleased to read them.

    Hello @hake,

You could try stopping that particular update > Prevent Windows Update from Updating Specific Device Driver

    I hope this helps.

Download the HP driver for this printer. https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers...r-series/25470 Once that is installed, it should download the Microsoft driver again.

Your machine and the printer are very outdated. You are not going to get anything newer driver wise.
