    Memory Problem

I've recently got a few Lenovo M92P ThinkCentres and bought 2 x 4Gb DDR3 ram from ebay to upgrade it to 8GB

Problem is, they don't work being in at the same time, I get a series of beeping, like a tune as soon as i connect the power adapter.
When they're in on their own they work fine.

The sticks of ram seem to be a matched pair.

You have tried to change the slots, switched them?

Also check that your motherboard’s BIOS is up to date.

Flash BIOS update - ThinkCentre Edge 92, ThinkCentre M82, M92 and M92p, ThinkStation E31 - Lenovo Support GB

I'm not sure, but this probably the right one?

Are you able to lower their speed in BIOS perhaps?

You also could try to resetting the CMOS.....and then in BIOS, if possible, put the speed on RAM at AUTO.

If absolutely nothing works, I guess you should just return the problematic RAM and get a new set for free.

it's from ebay so i won't bother returning, there are a couple of systems with 2 x 2gb sticks so i can remove them to put the 4gb in.

I did get in touch with Lenovo earlier asking what voltage of ram was needed and they said 1.5v

BIOS is also updated to the latest.

Okay.....then I only see two things left.

First: clear the CMOS battery and may that could help..
Second: Pair one of the new Ram with an old one, switch to another pair with one old and one new RAM, and then try both new ones together.
Sounds strange perhaps, but I did have to do that when I bought new RAM, somehow it will may wake up the BIOS.

Question: Looking at both RAM sticks, are the serial numbers EXACT? I mean right down to the character?
