Drives showing that they require to be repaired

Hello all I have multiple external drive. Now the issue is I just noticed that some of my drives when I check them for an error shows that Windows need to Repair them.

I have allowed windows to scan the drives and complete the repair.

At the end I get this

Drives showing that they require to be repaired-untitled3.jpg

Now the issue is when I re-scan the drive I again get the same error that Windows need to repair the drive.

Can someone please help me get rid of this I am really worried about this since 4 of my drives are doing this. All of them are external drives and all have the same issue.

It is not saying that it needs to repair the drive.

Hi, first check those disks, just in case.
    Once again, try
Hard Disk Sentinel (excellent, informative) - full functional trial, portable version available.
Basic SMART check: Crystal Diskinfo (free).

How do you remove the disks?
When you don't need to “Safely Remove” a USB drive on Windows 10

Have they been used on a different PC?

    All the best,

But if it does not need to Repair the drive it why does it Scan & Repair Drive. If it was ok then it should be like this

Hard Disk Sentinel shows them to be perfect 100% health. I also tried using CrystalDiskInfo (64bit) no error with any of the drives even there.

Commected them to my Laptop and it's the same.

Thanks, as above, question remains about how you remove/eject the disks. I.e. what might be triggering this.

    Given they are ex-FAT -consider:

What is the problem of ExFAT?
Here's the problem with ExFat. It's not Journaled. While reading/writing to a drive, some information is cached – especially some quick small elements. If they're not accounted for, and you eject the drive incorrectly, you'll possibly lose data or corrupt the drive

You may find this of interest:
exFAT partition got corrupted, but was easily fixed. How did this happen? | MacRumors Forums

    - pointing to the relative fragility of ex-FAT, assuming no improvement since this was written. E.g.
Drives showing that they require to be repaired-1.jpg

I don't think you've commented on how you eject/remove them.

    Thank you for your reply.

You never ever remove your external drives??

    You can try
    chkdsk X: /scan
where X is the drive letter of interest.

This should not require the volume to be dismounted, and only scans.

Also suggest you try reformatting one drive as a test case.

But note that chkdsk may not work with exFAT.
