warning for the samaung a51 phone in the task try

i have win 10 22h2 and i keep getting this warning that tells me my samsung a51 phone has stopped or been disconnected and half the time it is not even connected to the pc. i have tried deleting the usb drivers for it and closed the photo folders and even turned off the phone before unplugging it from the pc and still it shows up. i have not had the phone connected to the pc for a few day and yesterday that popped up and it had 50 instances of the warning when i hovered over the task bar warning icon.

it sure would be nice to just have that turned off permanently. i know when the phone has been disconnected i disconnected it. do anyone have a better fix. i even jotted down the usb items that show when the phone has been connected and before i unplug the phone go and delete them and still they show up.

any ideas. at this time they are not showing but as sure as tomorrow they will be there. i can get them in a heartbeat just by plugging the phone into the pc and unplugging it 1 or 2 times and voila they are there. thanks for any ideas on who to turn that warning off

You can try removing Samsung ghost devices (A ghost device isn't plugged in but its hardware information is still in registry. Usually not an issue or cause any problem)

Disconnect all your Samsung devices. Download and run as admin DevManView (scroll down towards end of screen to find the download link. You'll probably need x64 version). Click the Manufacturer column to alphasort by name. Find Samsung devices. Now look at the Samsung device Connected column. Connected=No is a ghost device. Right click to uninstall and remove it from registry.

The next time you plug in the device it's device info will be reinstalled to the registry. Hope this helps

You don't mention where you got the Samsung driver.
I use Samsung USB driver - Samsung
    Currently v1.7.56.0

    Best of luck,

i did not get any drivers i used what is on the pc and whatever the phone has. but it does this for the samsung a21 the a51 and the nikoi as well so that is why i figure it was on the pc and nto the phones. and when i plug in the phone i see the added usb drivers and i asked for an update and it tells me i have the latest drivers. but let me get this one you sent and see if that works for the a51 now because i do not use the other phones on this pc anymore thanks

It can happen when some other app is looking for pictures on the phone after it's been disconnected.

Phone USB detaching shows half a dozen pop-ups

i down loaded that driver and now i have to see if it works. it doesn't alway do this when i unplug the phone and sometimes it does and sometimes it does when the phone has not been connected for hours or days or weeks. maybe that driver will help.

i do not see the other items mentioned here in the device manager. when i plug in the phone it does update to show the samsung adb driver. also i turned off the blue tooth for the phone maybe that will help thanks
