    system restore after driver update

    Hi friends.
I wanna update all of my drivers via Snappy Driver installer.
I thought to create restore point before I do that in case I get some issues after driver update.
Is it possible to restore to current drivers in case I get some issues with newer drivers?
Should restore point bring my PC like it was currently (with old drivers)?

First of all, are you having a driver, or driver related problem, and if so, what is the problem[s] ?

I am always wary of using third-party software for something like this for obvious reasons [ Viruses, Malware, Spyware, etc ]. It would be better to use Windows Update, or better still, use the manufactures website to see if there are any newer and updated versions of the drivers.

Additionally, System Restore Points can be a bit hit and miss to be honest. You will have better piece of mind and coverage if you were to create a System Image PRIOR to whatever course of action you decide to take.

    I hope this helps.

So system restore won't restore my PC to previous driver version, I mean current one, before driver update?

System Restore, when it completes successfully, undoes all changes to the O/S, drivers, installed programs... after the point at which the restore point used was created.

I've never seen a report of anyone finding their PC was faster, smarter or better after an attempt to update drivers.
I have seen cases where problems have been encountered.

What problem are you actually trying to solve?

Put another way, if your car is working perfectly, do you take it to the garage to get it fixed (other than for legally required checks)?

And you do use 3rd party disk imaging, regularly and routinely as well, don't you?

Yes, it SHOULD do, but also note my comments above. You also have the option to Roll Back Driver in Device Manager . . .

    I hope this helps.

Okay guys thanks, I guess I won't be doing anything then.
The issue is that I don't get 100% usage of GPU while gaming.
I do get satisfied FPS but power and GPU usage are never 100%.
CPU is 6700K, and GPU 2080 Super.

100% usage would mean there's nothing left.. <100% means you're running without being contrained by system limits.

    NO, it is NOT.

You need available system resources in order for the OS to run normally and smoothly. If ALL resources are being used by the game, the computer will become sluggish or freeze !

Unfortunately you've not understood my comment.

Imagine your car can go no faster than 100 mph.

Would you always drive at 100mph?
