would like suggestions regarding mouse stickyness

I have a fairly cheap mouse with an adjustable DPI of upto 6000 which i need to get across my largish screen with a very small movement of the mouse.
The problem I am having is accuracy! when i want to click on a very small part of the screen with accuracy I find that last adjustment sort of 'sticky' I have a job moving the mouse in a small and exact way IYSWIM
I have the 'enhance pointer precision' selected and that improves things a lot but not that last few millimetres.

Do I need a better mouse and if I do what is it that i need to get to get the accuracy I want?

    Thanks for suggestions

If the mouse has an adjustable DPI up to 6000, try another setting, like 4000 DPI.
Some mouse has a different DPI depending the speed you move the mouse. Fast move has high DPI (to get where you want) and slow movement has low DPI (so it can precise)

    I have one of these

Some gaming mice, for example, have a button which allow you to adjust pointer speed.

Another way, using CTRL + SHIFT to slow pointer is given here via Ease of Access:

How to Use the Keyboard to Control the Mouse Cursor in Windows

That tells you how to enable this:

Thanks! Ihave altered the DPI and also used the settings in the ease of Access settings.
It seems better so I'll try it out for a day and see it feels OK

    Thanks

Hope it works- I've never had a huge screen to play with.. my mouse issues have been limited to cleaning cat hairs from the scroll wheel mechanism!
