10-key does not type number- NUMLOCK ON two different KBs on same sys

My old keyboard, a Kensington "washable" started to ahve bad keys, so I ordered a Logitech K120. I know, not exactly luxury, but this is for a home-made "docking station" that is a backup work locastion fo9r us.

Funny thing is, the 10-key on both keyboard won't type in numbers when the NUM LOCK key is pressed.

The cursor keys and the Enter key work on the 10-key work just fine. What explains this oddness?

I think that, by "10-key", you mean the 0123456789 keys of the numeric keypad.

Perhaps the NumLock key is faulty.***
What does pressing any of the keys do?
Does the Bios have the ability to disable the NumLock key? Given that two keyboards behave in the same way I think this is the explanation.

*** If that key is faulty, you can simulate pressing it using PowerShell commands and using vbs commands. I happen to have the vbs code readily to hand.
Put these commands in a file called something like PressNumLock.vbs and run it.
    Code:
    Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
    WshShell.SendKeys "{NUMLOCK}"
This code will simulate pressing the NumLock key.

    All the best,
    Denis

Not seeing anything even remotely similar on Logitech K350? What exactly do you mean by 10-key? I'm thinking you mean the numpad on the right side?

Yes, I should have said in my post #1 that I meant the numpad.

Sorry for not yet investigating the BIOS. I'm recovering from Covid now, and just like the doctors and nurses said, I am still very tired all the time.

Just fyi, my only BIOS option for numlock is default state "on or off" on boot up. I set it to off.
