the specs say " DTS Studio Sound™," for audio,
so you may have to contact Toshiba support for more info..

What does it mean exactly by DTS sound?
And how do I contact Toshiba?

    Heh, I've gone here too...
But I installed Realtek Audio Drivers/CODEC, what would you suggest to install?

remove Realtek via the Programs and Features list in Control Panel (opt to uninstall/remove)

then run a registry cleaner - like CCleaner to get rid of any useless and unwanted left-overs..
if necessary do it a few times until you get an all-clear..
    - after you're sure that the machine is clean, install the Toshiba driver....

    - you can get CCleaner for free here:
CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download
    - it runs really sweetly in Windows10.. :)

Once I attempt to install the driver, a the end of the initializing process, an administrator window pops up asking if the following program can make changes on the computer. Once I click 'Yes', no follow up dialogue appears.

    - your screenshot didn't register on the forum..

    - sound drivers are notoriously slow to install..
    - especially from scratch, you may just have to sit and wait..

This may be too late but have you tried "roll back driver" I know you've eliminated being able to go back to 8.1 but maybe there's an existing driver left somewhere in your box that worked.

I don't do too much with drivers, if it's not broken I don't fix it. W10 update downloaded/installed a video driver that put me back to 800x600. Felt like it was 1998 all over again, the fix was relatively easy, went to device manager, clicked on display adapters, double clicked on my adapter and used "roll back driver" and that took care of it.

Wish it could be that simple in your case, I posted a link to an exe for a driver from Toshiba in a PM but you may have done that already. If you have any 8.1 install media you might see if you can install a sound driver from it, sorry Apollo, I'm grasping at straws here. Maybe see if a generic sound driver will work, have you uninstalled the driver and rebooted with no driver installed to see if W10 finds and installs one?

You might try this, you maybe could get a working driver from an 8.1 iso. http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials...ad-create.html
