    Disk Management

system running 21h2 19044.1806 version. HP Laptop, AMD Ryzen 3 3250U processor. 8 gb RAM, 256 GGB SSD storage.
I did an install of Linux Mint Cinnamon. All went well and I set the space to 64.53 gb. I thought that it had taken the space from Dr. C However it seems to have taken it from my Enternal HDD that is 1 terabyte. using directions to eliminate Linux and go back to Windows 10 all seemed to go OK until I did Disk Management and saw that there was two drives beyond Drive D
the 513 mg is a Healthy(EFI System Partition) and the second is a 64.53 GB unallocated one. I think I have to change the 513 partition to something so that it can be shrink back to drive D: and then shrink the 64.53 unallocated one back to Drive D ?
    Could someone help.

First disconect the second drive and make sure the pc boots to prove the uefi on 2nd drive is not being used then connect it and simply delete uefi and grow d:

Samuria The dirve was disconnected and then I did a restart and it all came up ok.

I right clicked on the volume but all options are greyed out. I tried to right click on the partition but no response. is there some other way I should delete this ?

You can try a free parition software but as its uefi it will be a system protected while in windows so you may need to boot a parition software boot dvd to do it

Samuria this laptop doesn't have a burner. I thought of trying to install linux again and when it gets to the point of setting up the space to be used it did ask if I wanted to reclaim the space or use existing linux space already there. is that worth a try. I don't understand the software for disk usage or whatever.

Odd. I can rt click on all partitions on my system drive - the only one where all the options are greyed out is the EFI partition.

Get yourself a copy of Minitool Partition Wizard (free). (Or similar)
These programs typically create a task to be executed on restart once that is set up using the program.
As you can see there's a delete option e.g. by rt clicking.

There's a help guide buit in.

Via Google - here's a guide to deleting a partition:
How to Delete Partition | MiniTool Partition Wizard Tutorial

Note: you can effectively queue a sequence of changes e.g. delete a partition, extend another, then restart your PC.

Caveat - a wise person ensures they have a full backup before making changes. The routine and regular use of disk imaging is endlessly recommended here e.g. Macrium Reflect (free-paid) + large enough external storage for image files.

Hi dalchina thank you for responding. Can't do the backup due to only 256 GB SSD. enternal drive D has over 400 GB of files folders and backup files on it. I have kept the partition wizard app. will have to decide if I want to buy another HDD.
    Thank You.

You should definitely look into using disk imaging.

Think: what would you do if your internal disk failed or became unbootable, or infected by ransomware?

With an image of all Windows partitions kept safely you have a chance of restoring your working environment even to a new PC if yours failed completely or was stolen.

And a full backup of course. Etc.

And can be a huge time saver - for maybe £50- 60 for a 2TB HDD or so...

dalchina I have Macrium Reflect. right now I did get a 1 terabyte external and it is being copied from D: says it will take a day.
I could stop it and do an image of the d: would the image take much space on C: drive.
The wizard came up and warned me that I have not done abackup.

dalchina stopped the copy process. now creating an image on C: looks like about 207 GB and about 20 minutes.

For me to create an initial normal (not forensic) image of, say 120Gb of data on a SSD via USB3 to a HDD might take about 20 minutes. The nominal data rate is reported as around 300-400MB/s.

Subsequent differential images (difference between 'now' and the base image) are smaller and faster.

Over USB2 will be much slower.

I don't know how you are using MR, or what your hardware configuration is, or how much data you are imaging.
