Epson Perfection Scanner 2480 driver

Hope this may be of help to someone.:)

The following file/driver enabled me to run a 2480 scanner [paid £3 for at a car-boot] in windows 10 64bit

Epson Perfection 24803.0u


It is Version 3.0u

Make sure you remove all previous drivers for the scanner, then uninstall device from device manger.

Switch off the scanner + remove power source and USB lead.

Download and run the installer. After installation connect and turn on power then connect USB.

You should be good to go, but note previous "Smart Panel" software will not work You need to use the utility which is included with the driver or download and run the Vista 64bit "Epson Copy Utility.

Thanks a lot for the tip, only just upgraded to windows 10. Epson USA lists no windows 10 driver for the 2480. They neglect to mention that the Vista 64 driver still works!

It's always worth trying those older drivers - those from Windows 7 onwards usually work.

Hello all. All you have to do is install Windows 10 32-bit drivers and Epson Scan software from Epson.com and it works perfectly. Epson Scan works and you also have Twain drivers so Photoshop can import WIA and see's the Epson Perfection 2480 and it also works perfectly. Easy peasy.......
