    Logitech M185 mouse issues

I have a wireless mouse, it has always worked perfectly well, in fact it has been the best mouse I've ever had. Recently I've noticed some performance issues on it, these issues always happen when the computer has been start-up, they never happened in the past and now only happen occasionally. When they do happen its like I cannot mouse my mouse down towards the taskbar. At first I thought my battery was going flat so I replaced the battery with a fresh new battery, the problem still happens. After a while the mouse functions as it should - its like something to do with downward movement is loading and when its fully loaded the problem disappears. I've just gone to device manager to try and update the driver but on clicking update driver it searches and then tells me that the best driver is loaded for my device. Interestingly I see that my mouse is not called Logitech in device manager but HID compliant mouse. Could this be the problem?

Are you using the Logitech unifying receiver or does it just connect via Bluetooth?
Is the mouse showing under Bluetooth?

That sounds like the Logitech unifying receiver. Have you downloaded the unifying software? Although the Logitech page for that mouse states there’s no download for it.
Have you tried a different USB port?

There’s usually the SetPoint or Logitech options software which is for changing mouse settings & the unifying receiver software for connecting/setting up the mouse. Yes the software contains both 32bit & 64bit & will choose the one it requires during install.

    Hi

I have just installed the Logitech software, its called Options. The installed size is 341 mb, might just uninstalled it because it doesn't give me any options I cannot change without it, and lets face 341 mb is huge. While I was installing I noticed the problem mentioned happened again, I tried changing the receiver to another usb port - the problem still existed so I changed it back to where it was. Then I had the idea of changing the battery in the mouse again, After changing and switching the mouse off and then on I seem to have a fast mouse. The slow mouse was really getting me down. Anyway to make sure it was the battery, i put the old one back and SLOW MOUSE, back to the new battery and a FAST MOUSE. Ill test it out to make sure the problem stays fixed and then if it does then Ill mark this thread as solved. Thanks for your help.
